SAVE THE DATE || SCOHRE Board Elections | Applications for candidates are open!

SCOHRE has now entered its fifth year of operation, and a new board must be elected, according to its statute. The elections have been set for the 14th and the 15th of May, to allow 48 hours for the procedure given the variety of time zones to be considered.

The procedure will be conducted via an online platform and more information will be uploaded soon at the SCOHRE website, together with the step-by-step instructions on how to vote.

Steps to Apply for Board Membership

SCOHRE members interested to become a candidate Board member, can declare their interest by sending an e-mail to info@scohre.org by Wednesday, April 30th, accompanied by a bio/golden paragraph (200-250 words), together with a photo (high resolution, 300 x 300 or 500 x 500 pixels) for the announcement of the candidates on SCOHRE website.

As for the eligibility of the candidates, please note that SCOHRE promotes harm reduction, smoking control but also transparency, promotion of knowledge, & ethics. In this context and according to its statute, funding from the tobacco industry, directly or indirectly, is not acceptable.

This also applies to the Board members, which means that SCOHRE has the limitation that any member of this association involved in the governance, the Board of Directors, or any other governance committee, cannot accept funding from the tobacco industry; more specifically, all Board members should be clear of tobacco industry funding for three years.
